I added this app when it first came out, and while I enjoy it, it takes too long and occupies too much screen real estate when you have 1000 friends!
It would be more interesting if let it you choose the number of friends to be shown(100, 500, 1000, etc.), or shows only the top 100 friends you interact with the most frequently. Just showing EVERY single friend with no real meaning seems very one dimensional.

The 'Friends Collage' app has the exact same feature and allows you to choose how many friends you want to show on your profile page

You can have this view with no apps but not on your profile. On the Friends tab, select "----".

As the developer of the GridView app, I would like to thank you for witting about my app!
Brandon, that's a good idea, however defining "interacted most with" is very hard. Even Facebook itself doesn't try that. A random assortment of friends would not work, because GridView has to be manually updated.
But thanks for using GridView. Also I'm working on some improvements to GridView to "break the Grid". Stay tuned and thanks for using GridView!
