Once you found/spied on your old friends, played a pointless round of scrabble and join some pointless inactive group that you dont even engage with any way, what else is there to do on facebook? The answer...nothing. For me the only good thing to come out of facebook...is that I now know only your family stands the test of time. friendship and networking has no substance.

Re: Are Social Networks Getting Boring?

I think if you wanna figure out how to make the best and most engaging social network you have to read all of the latest thing on social objects and object-centered sociality.
http://www.mahalo.com/Social_Objects

Re: Are Social Networks Getting Boring?

One of the big reasons why I've stopped spending as much time on Facebook is applications have ruined the clean interface of the site and slowed things down considerably. It would be in Facebook's best interest to offer a default lightweight view with no custom third-party applications. If that is too much to ask then they should track the performance index of the third-party application servers. If it falls below a threshold then the application box should be not displayed on the user profile. In the end I don't care how its done but Facebook needs to take action.

Re: Are Social Networks Getting Boring?

did the founders of the computerese madness really believe
people are gonna wanna read blogs and look at photos, like
home movies and pay to do it? listen dudes, the party
was over a long time ago, people left a long time ago.
they don't like neverland and being peter pan. ya know
what computers really do? waste electricity, which is
made from oil.
