I ONLY want to receive them when I visit the Facebook home page.

Right now, I have to tape a black sliver of paper to my computer screen so that I do not see any real-time notifications.

Does anybody here know of an add-on for Firefox that will prevent me from receiving my notifications in real time? I really want to be able to download one.

Re: Facebook Announces Real-time Notifications

Why do they keep adding all these features when the site is loading so irritatingly slow? Fix the fundamental user experience, dudes! There is always some connection timeout here and there.

Wonder if other users get it too?
