  • I'm with you Nick. I don't add people unless I know them. I don't need to join the competition to have the most facebook friends when I can stay true to the friends I have on facebook. I'm not afraid to send people a message saying, "hey -- do I know you?" and then just deny them if I don't know them.

I personally don't have a problem with just denying people, rather than adding then deleting them. I wouldn't say it's wrong, as many people are doing just that...but just not my way to play.

  • just googled 'how to politely deny' and i think you're one of the first sites to come up!

My problem is with high school style, vague acquaintances - I want the words to say something more than 'no'.

"gee that's great you remember i was tall (e.g.)... i'm sorry though, I'm not comfortable sharing all my details with you." .. shouldn't you say something more than just deny? if not, they just request and request.
