Facebook themselves mentioned they were #1 in Canada at the Toronto Facebook Developer Garage. Hopefully they are looking at Comscore and not Alexa for that date, but either way, it does seem surprising.

Alexa has no algorithm and I have no idea why its such a renowned gauge of traffic. It only collects data based on users who have their toolbar installed.

At last check for me, that was 0% of people I know.
