Facebook has a long way to go in the features they offer compared to Gmail. With the current inbox system there is no search offered.
Since the launch of my application my inbox mail has skyrocketed. The other day I wanted to go back a couple months and find a message. The only way for me to do it was to scan back manually looking for the right one.
If they add in a Gmail-esque search feature that would be a huge help.

Nick, Who are your couple of sources that they are actually telling you feature designs? This sounds highly speculative. When would they have this?
You should make sure you have something to back this up otherwise this is a facebook rumors & wishlist blog. Ian
