  • Great article! Sooner or later, application owners will have to become accountable, otherwise Facebook will take the hit (and the credibility loss) in the media.
  • All I can say is "oops!". I hope that they close this exploit/mistake soon - it sucks that hate groups can use Facebook to harrass people who are to all intents and purposes otherwise acting within the law.
  • Hence why I have never added a Facebook application. First time I saw that check box saying “Allow this application to know who I am and access my information.” I immediately decided never to use the applications. I've tried to warn my friends but they seem to think being able to bite someone with a zombie icon is more important than protecting their privacy. I just hope that the applications they use don't grant the developers the ability to see the profiles of their friends or my precautions are all for nothing.
