AllFacebook: It’s Business, Not Privacy

Have you heard the rumor about MSFT buying YHOO and then Facebook? If that was in progress, perhaps that's why they turned off Google.

Maybe it's BOTH business and privacy. Information wants to be free? Phooey - personal information wants to be controlled - and preferably by the individual. As a Facebook user with a profile, why shouldn't I be able to exercise some control over other users' export, reuse and (mis)use of my personal information? As I understand it, Facebook's Friend Connect promises to wrap and enforce my privacy preferences around my personal data when it gets siphoned off the Facebook platform. Does Google Friend Connect do this? Assuring users' trust is also a business strategy too.
