Profile Designs? - The redesign... well it is technically is out on opt in (on new.facebook.com) for anyone. no force date really had been given but is believed to be sometime in August!

Idea for Allfacebook (and other sites like this Inside Facebook and Mashable) when FB Connect goes live as this is a Faceboook/ Social Network (fan/news)site maybe following Liveside (Windows Live fansite - it has added Live ID API) example maybe add a profile or just use FB connect for the blog comments and maybe this blog thing community to the right!

Superpoke Ilike, Flikster (Movies), Green Patch and family could move there applications to there own server and with connect potentially be able to work on bebo and Facebook and others who use FB or Facebook Open in FB mode say fb.superpoke.apps.slide.com (example) while the opensocial crowd could have os.superpoke.apps.slide.com but both in theory could be interoperatable if you have say a slide.com account so regardless what Platform or social network you have and how data is ported: Friend Connect, Facebook Connect with own or universial login systems: Open ID and possibly Live ID could 'link' all up

This move by Facebook is going to kill 95% of the garbage applications out there. It will also be a lot more difficult to monetize the traffic.

Re. translatable applications - well this will be interesting as i sure it is the developers responsibility to provide the application phases in Male, Female, Mixed/ unknown contexts and other phases.

Who will do these translating say for English GB? - the English GB community in my case I guess!

Connect - i hoping it rather open when it launches or goes into beta (for users). that list on that powerpoint should be published and maybe hopefully some new ones by launch!

Open ID or Live ID & Windows Live will be a big plus for Connect and Data portabiity considering Myspace is going with Open ID http://www.betanews.com/art... (but Myspace like Yahoo with Open ID have not said that they will not in the future allow back to Open ID portability
