The new version of Joomla RC2 has a real simple pluggable authentication setup. The "authenticate against google" code is about 10 lines of PHP. It should be pretty easy to make it talk to Facebook...

If you can do it go for it :) It's not easy to integrate drupal into Facebook ... swap out the users for Facebook users and provide people with an easy way to create custom communities on Facebook. If you can do it I'll help you promote it!

I don't really get what you are trying to point out here. It is quite easy to integrate any of popular CMS into Facebook canvas page. It would be good if you could elaborate more.
